FAQs
What should I bring?
Comfortable enclosed sports shoes, a hat, water bottle and racquet. If you/your child do not have a racquet, we can lend you one for your lesson. Please let us know prior to your lesson so we can ensure we have a suitable racquet available.
How are groups determined?
After initially being enrolled in a class suitable for their age and skill level, students will be assessed by their coach and may be moved to a group that is more appropriate to their standard.
Can parents watch?
Yes, parents are encouraged to watch, however we ask that parents do not enter the court unless requested by the coach.
When should I start?
You can start anytime! Our coaching programs are continuous (throughout school term time). They are designed to allow students to commence learning from any point within the year. Our focus is to ensure each student is grouped with players of a similar age and skill level. We use the Tennis Australia endorsed Hotshots program to teach and grade students.
What happens if it rains?
We will do everything possible to run our programs as scheduled, however on occasion weather may force us to cancel. If we need to cancel a lesson due to weather conditions, we will notify you via SMS approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled lesson (earlier if conditions allow). If you do not hear from us, please assume the lesson is still on.
How are fees charged?
HotShots Group lessons are charged by the term. You will receive an invoice via email. Cardio Tennis and Private lessons can be paid weekly or by term.
How can I reschedule or cancel my private lesson?
Private lessons can be rescheduled or cancelled by contacting us via email or SMS. Please note at least 24 hours notice must be given or the full lesson fee will be charged.
Is there a trial lesson available for new students?
Yes, we offer a free trial Hot Shots lesson for new students. Simply contact us to arrange your first session.
